Our Team
Isao is responsible for the integrity of Appiwork’s product development, day-to-day operations and corporate strategy. Isao works closely with clients, vendors and contractors to ensure that Appiwork’s products are expertly crafted and delivered to consumers.
He has a deep knowledge and working experience for developing and implementing ICT software and infrastructure projects across government, transport, aviation, logistics and tourism industries throughout Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Micronesia.
Isao won his first programming competition as a schoolboy in Japan with a simple game called ‘Mig and Mog’. This was back in 1986 when his entire computer only had 64KB!
After many years as a programmer, systems architect, project manager and IT director, Isao has returned to his first love – creating cool, fit-for-purpose mobile apps and web services for start ups, government agencies and disruptive private enterprise.
Isao holds a Bachelor of Law from Kanagawa University, Japan. He is a consummate project manager with a zealous drive for perfection and a surprising creative streak. He’s managed large scale IT projects in the public and private sectors including the testing of Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ’s new banking system in Australia.
Isao’s also been an Australian national champion for salsa dancing, represented Japan for wind surfing, been in championship basketball teams and even done Japanese calligraphy at a competitive level… he’s a perfectionist.
